Overview
Jammy Corporation and its properties (collectively “Jammy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
This policy applies to all Jammy properties and their users, including users who contribute content.
Information we collect
We collect only information you voluntarily provide to us through our websites, by email, or through other direct contact. This may include your name, email address, and any content or data you choose to enter into our platforms.
Payment transactions on applicable Jammy properties are processed entirely by third-party payment providers. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card or financial account information.
When you leave a comment or submit content, we also collect your IP address and browser user agent string for spam detection purposes.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiries, fulfill your requests, and operate our services. Unless you ask us not to, we may also contact you by email regarding updates, promotions, or changes to this policy. You may opt out of such communications at any time.
User-entered data
Some Jammy properties allow you to enter personal notes, activity records, or other self-directed content. You are solely responsible for the content you enter, including any information relating to third parties. We strongly advise against entering personally identifiable information about other individuals without their knowledge and consent. Jammy assumes no responsibility for the nature or accuracy of user-entered content.
Sharing your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties except as follows:
- Third-party service providers engaged to operate our infrastructure, fulfill orders, or deliver our services (including hosting providers, payment processors, order fulfillment partners, and spam detection services). These providers have incidental access to data as part of service delivery.
- As required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Jammy, its users, or others.
We take reasonable steps to select service providers with appropriate privacy practices; however, we cannot guarantee the independent data handling practices of third parties.
Data storage and international transfers
Our hosting infrastructure is operated by third-party providers with servers that may be located outside Canada, including in the United States and other jurisdictions, for operational, redundancy, or backup purposes. Order fulfillment through third-party partners may involve processing in multiple countries globally. By using our services, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside Canada, where privacy laws may differ from those in your area of residence.
Data retention
We retain your personal information indefinitely unless you request its deletion. To request deletion of your data, please contact us using the contact information below. We will respond to deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, including Display Advertising features, to understand how visitors use our sites. Google Analytics may use data such as age, gender, and interests derived from Google’s own services to tailor content. Google Analytics only has access to information you have independently shared with Google. For details on how Google handles this data, please refer to Google’s privacy policy.
Cookies
We use cookies and browser local storage to support site functionality, including login sessions and display preferences. Login cookies persist for up to two weeks if you select “Remember Me.” Comment preference cookies last up to one year. You may manage cookie settings through your browser; however, disabling cookies may affect site functionality.
Minors
Our services are intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
While Jammy does not publish adult content, certain Jammy properties may surface content contributed by independent third-party artists or creators, which may include material of a mature or explicit nature. Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise minors’ use of our platforms accordingly.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Sensitive information transmitted through our sites is encrypted in transit. Access to personal information is limited to personnel who require it for specific operational purposes.
No method of data transmission or storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a breach of security safeguards involving your personal information, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required under applicable law.
Third-party links and embedded content
Our sites may contain links to third-party websites and may display embedded content from external sources. Jammy has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party websites. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the originating website directly, and those sites may collect data or set cookies independently.
Content terms of use
Except for content in the public domain, Jammy Corporation owns all original content published on its properties. You may not copy, disclose, or distribute our content without express written consent.
By submitting content to any Jammy property, you grant Jammy a non-exclusive license to publish, modify, and display that content. You retain ownership of content you submit. Jammy reserves the right to review, decline to publish, or remove any submitted content at its discretion.
Any use of content or services on our sites is entirely at your own discretion. By accessing our services, you release Jammy from liability arising from your use of any third-party website or your reliance on content published on our sites.
